Amy Fife, LPC

Amy is an AZ Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor and the founder of Fife Counseling, PLLC. She holds a master’s degree in Community Counseling and is honored to be working with her colleagues at Collective Practices of Arizona Counselors.

Amy is an attachment-based and an emotionally focused therapist. Amy enjoys accompanying individuals/couples on their journey toward healing and recovery personally and within their relationships.

Amy sees “the parts that are not working” in her client’s lives and relationships as an adaptation to pain and not pathology. She appreciates the resourcefulness in each of her clients. Amy seeks to work with her clients to understand their pain, have compassion for their adaptations to pain, to move out of rigid patterns, reconnect with their body and intuition, and use more effective ways to heal and recover from wounding/trauma.

Amy is trained in the Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model through APSATS (The Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists) and is also trained through ADDO Recovery in Betrayal Trauma. Amy is trained in EMDR Therapy for trauma recovery and has focused training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT). Amy incorporates Mindfulness and Self-Compassion throughout her work with clients.

Amy has a special interest in helping adult women who have experienced relational trauma/betrayal trauma through individual counseling as well as through groups by offering 6-week Betrayal Trauma Intensive courses for women.

“Safety is not only the absence of threat, it is also the presence of connection.”
